Motion IQ Physical Therapy

Who we are

Michael Ko, PT, CFMT is the owner of Motion IQ Physical Therapy. He graduated from University of Southern California in 2007. After graduation, Michael continued his education by taking coursework from the Institute of Physical Art and became a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) in 2015. Michael’s entire career has been in orthopedics, with an emphasis on manual therapy combined with therapeutic exercises.

Michael’s current passion project is treating patients with head, neck, and jaw pain. He is in the process of getting his Craniofacial Certification from the University of St. Augustine. In the past few years, he has seen there are few options for conservative care regarding temporomandibular joint pain. One of the goals of our clinic is to fill that need in the community.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters. If life isn’t too busy, he enjoys taking an annual trip to Park City, Utah for snowboarding and trout fishing in the Eastern Sierras.

Prior to becoming a father, Michael spent his extra time doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu eventually achieving a 3 striped blue belt.
